This 1961 Fleetwood has been part of the Pedigree Collection since 2019. This is one of the finest we have ever seen and chased it for three years before we were able to add it to our collection.

This Sixty Special Sedan was built on 15 May 1961. As ordered, it was fitted with Basic Accessory Group B, comprising air conditioning, whitewall tires, heater, radio, and EZ Eye tinted glass. Additional equipment from Group 3 includes door guards, fog lamps, and power headlight control, as well as power door locks and vent windows ordered à la carte. Painted Tunis Beige, its build sheet details a Special Request interior, which is done in the ostrich-grained leather interior that was usually exclusive to Eldorados.

Our records show it had long term ownership by a prominent Cadillac collector. He had it restored in 2001 by renowned Cadillac specialists Jenkins in North Carolina. They did a bare-metal repaint in the original color. The engine was removed and detailed, while all the exterior chrome was re-plated. The results are spectacular and it looks as magnificent today as it did when it was completed.
In 2018 it was sold by RM Auctions to a well-known Cadillac collector. In December 2019 after several attempts to purchase it, we were able to add it to our collection. We chased this specific car because if its unique specs as well as its outstanding condition. We wanted the very best, and this is it.

From the paint quality to the chrome and incredible interior, this Cadillac is impressive in every way. The Tunis Beige metallic with burgundy Ostrich leather is incredible and should be seen to be appreciated.

We have a PDF from the GM Heritage center that shows the color and option codes for every Cadillac from 1949 to 1979. Ostrich leather was a special order factory option in 1961. It's obviously very rare, but we have never seen it on any other Fleetwood.

We have the original Data card and records of the restoration. When we purchased it, we had it serviced and did some upgrades to make it more efficient and improve its drivability. Cosmetically we had it ceramic coated and added UV Window tint.

The enhancements we added include:

• Diamond Back Radial tires with the correct whitewalls and original tread pattern
• Seatbelts in burgundy to match the interior color
• Front brakes converted from Drum to disk brakes
• New Carburetor
• Upgraded ignition system
• Battery cut off switch

No expense has been spared to maintain this Fleetwood to the highest standards. Except for the automatic headlight diming, everything in this Fleetwood works and works as it should or better. The six-way power front seat operates in all directions. All 8 electric windows work and work from all the controls on every door. The electric door locks work as they should Yes, the clock works. Even the electric trunk release and pulldown work perfectly. Every light functions, even all the lights behind the dash work. This is a Fleetwood that has no excuses.

Driving this Cadillac is an absolute dream. With the twist of the key it fires up immediately and idles so smoothly you can barely feel it running. It accelerates smoothly with no hesitation, and the transmission shifts are barely felt. It always runs cool. The engine temperature never hits the half way mark on the gauge and the A/C blows hard and cold. Because it has radial tires, its smooth and stable at highway speeds and responds beautifully. Because of the disk brakes, it stops with incredible ease.
