We originally purchased this Sedan Deville to be part of our private Pedigree Collection. A year ago we sold it and just got it back on trade for one of our newer Brougham's. All of our cars are serviced and the highest level of attention is given to ensure its reliability and is ready to be driven at any time. In our quest for highly quality low miles classic cars we found this beautiful 1978 Sedan DeVille. This highly original example is spectacular. 1978 was the second year of the “downsized“ Cadillac. This new generation of Cadillac was 904 pounds lighter and 9.5 inches shorter than the previous generation model. However, it actually had more interior room and far better driving characteristics while getting much better fuel efficiency than the previous car. Extremely well-equipped, this Sedan DeVille was ordered with Cadillacs most popular options. The result is a truly elegant sedan that is unmistakably Cadillac. Those options include:

This car had come from a collection where it sat for many years. As with all of our cars it received a thorough inspection. When we sold it a year ago, we had performed:

Change oil and filter
Brake fluid service
Replace valve cover gaskets
Perform full service that includes
Change spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires
Replace blower motor
Replace air conditioning compressor
Replace radiator and flush coolant
Clean and adjust brakes
Clean and adjust front seatbelt shoulder belts
Replace motor mounts
Replace transmission mounts
Balance all four tires
Adjust carburetor
Replace all four shocks
Clean windshield washer fluid jets
Tighten emblems on wheel covers

In the past year additional work was performed. That work includes:

This Sedan DeVille now drives like an absolute dream. It's power from the 7.0 liter V8 is smooth and plentiful with barely perceptible ships from the transmission. The air conditioning is ice cold and every function works. Even the cruise control and the power operated radio antenna work without flaw. This is a car that needs to be seen and driven to be appreciated.

As we search for cars on a daily basis, it is rare that we find such a spectacular example that has been so well-maintained as this one. This is a car that can be driven daily or used on special occasions. Everywhere it goes it attracts attention because this is what people remember a Cadillac to be.

This is a highly original example. The rear bumper fillers have been replaced. Other than that, we believe everything else to be original. Its is not new, but an extremely well preserved example. As with all of our cars, this Cadillac will be driven. The miles may be higher than what is currently shown. We are always happy to give the current miles upon request.
